2021 Interior Design Trends: Sustainable and rustic design

More and more people are trying to change their consumer behavior towards a sustainable society. Their decisions, including choosing furniture, are assessed in terms of climate neutrality. The history of a product - how, from what, where and by whom it was produced - is becoming more and more important. The design should be attractive and «green». Natural materials are used not only for comfort, but also for environmental reasons.

There is a growing interest in recyclable materials. Plants, home greenhouses, eco fabrics become important elements of the interior. They are complemented by rattan, willow or bamboo elements, which bring the feeling of a winter garden to the house. This 2020/2021 trend maintains interest in Scandinavian style, natural, rustic lifestyles and traditionally simple design.
