6 Ways to Stay Focused While Working From Home

At home, it is quite difficult to concentrate on work or study, because this is our place of rest. We relax, hide from the bustle of the city, meet here with friends, and spend time with our family.  There are either too many distractions during the day, such as children and dogs, or there are too many diversions in the evening.

Usually, the biggest challenge is time management. However, if you've never worked from home or without a schedule dictated at least in part by someone else, some of these tips may be useful.

Make a Schedule - more than primitive, but effective

Don’t forget to schedule a lot of breaks

Instead, use this time productively - whether it's a household chore, a phone call, or simply getting up and walking in the sun, there's always something to do.

Include rewards into your schedule

Think about things you like to do to waste time. It could be anything: playing a stupid game on your phone, chatting with friends, scrolling social networks, having a snack or just simply staring at space. It literally can be anything! However, you are allowed to do it only if completed the task.

Define what is your own natural sleep-wake cycle

For some people it is much easier to work at night, for others, it is more productive to work in an earlier morning. Now, when your work from home, you can stay awake at your time. What a great opportunity!

Dilute your day with meditations

Our brain, like any other muscle in the body, can get tired or overexerted. After all, even computers can overheat. And as we know, there is a super simple trick with computers - turn it off and on. You must do exactly the same with your mind.

Nowadays, it is not at all difficult to find meditation to suit your preferences. Even Netflix has an interactive video of meditation for 3, 5, and 10 minutes.

Create a comfortable workplace

It is very difficult for our brain to readjust to productive work when household trifles. Even an ordinary table can be counterproductive for us if it is not comfortable to sit on. For example, it can constantly slide, move and it will distract us, and even scratch the floor. Therefore, we recommend rubber furniture pads.
